Distractions

Deborah and I began in one corner of our house and inch by inch used warm soapy water followed by a rinse and in only 3 and a half days wiped down our entire place in hopes of eliminating the asbestos threat. We had to do something. A phone call to the experts assured us (after learning the extent of our endeavors), that we would easily pass an air quality test.

We went to our friend Cindy's beautiful place on Lake Joy near our place in Carnation for a couple of days before flying off to Nevada. Deborah's sister Peggy's daughter, our niece Mandy, was getting married. They put us up in the "Pepper Mill" , an enormous casino and attempted knock off of an Italian something. We love Mandy, the wedding was really fun, but I still can't believe what  Nevada did to Tuscany. The murals, the statues, the slot machines.

Still, I believe it's all about the experience, and it was fun to watch the young people at the wedding do their line dance and then go into the desert wetland in brother in law Danny's big truck and see the diversity of biology thriving there. For example.....I thought ibis' lived in Egypt.
